Position Summary
Confidential Client is seeking an Aviation Maintenance Planner I to support aircraft maintenance planning, material coordination, and maintenance tracking. This is an entry-level to early-career role focused on ensuring parts, tooling, and work packages are ready to meet production and inspection schedules for complex aircraft. This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.
What You’ll Do
This role supports scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance by preparing detailed maintenance work packages, forecasting long-range needs, and coordinating across engineering, supply chain, maintenance, and quality teams.
- Develop, review, and issue maintenance work packages, task cards, and job routings (A/B/C/D checks, repairs, modifications)
- Forecast and plan long-range maintenance and material requirements using maintenance program intervals and regulatory directives
- Coordinate with Engineering, Materials/Supply Chain, Maintenance, and Quality Assurance to ensure parts, tooling, and technical data are available prior to work execution
- Maintain and update maintenance tracking/MRO systems to reflect aircraft status and upcoming requirements
- Analyze maintenance program data to identify trends and optimize task packaging
- Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, Airworthiness Directives (ADs), and Service Bulletins (SBs)
- Support audits, regulatory inspections, and maintenance program reviews
- Prepare maintenance forecasts, capacity plans, and status reports for leadership
Qualifications — Required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 0–2 years of relevant experience (aviation maintenance planning, material planning, supply chain or manufacturing)
- Awareness of FAA regulations and basic aircraft maintenance program structure
- Familiarity or awareness of maintenance tracking / MRO software systems
- Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals and technical documentation
- Strong organizational, written and verbal communication, and cross-functional coordination skills
Qualifications — Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, Aeronautical Engineering, or related field
- Experience supporting Boeing 747-8 maintenance activities
- A&P (Airframe & Powerplant) certification
- Prior experience in a Part 145 repair station or airline maintenance planning environment
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
- Full-time role; may be office-based or hybrid depending on operational needs
- Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs regularly
- Ability to work on a computer for extended periods
- May require standing for significant portions of the shift and working in noisy manufacturing/shop environments
- Occasional travel may be required
Compensation & Benefits
- Estimated salary: $93,386 per year (estimated)

Security Clearance & Eligibility
This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance. U.S. citizenship is required. Non-U.S. citizens may not be eligible to obtain the required security clearance. Eligibility is subject to the adjudication process by the appropriate federal agency.
