The Junior AUTOSAR Software Engineer at Confidential Client will develop and maintain embedded software solutions for automotive applications, focusing on AUTOSAR architecture for propulsion and powertrain systems. What You’ll Do
As part of the engineering team for our confidential client you will contribute to embedded software development for automotive systems focused on AUTOSAR-based solutions.
- Support development and maintenance of embedded software in C for automotive applications
- Configure and integrate AUTOSAR software components and basic software modules
- Participate in software build, integration, debugging and validation activities
- Contribute to requirements definition and architectural discussions
- Work with vehicle network communications (CAN, LIN) and debug communication issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet quality and functional safety requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or other STEM field
- Up to 3 years’ experience in embedded software development (including internships or academic projects)
- Strong knowledge of C and embedded systems fundamentals
- Familiarity with AUTOSAR concepts and basic AUTOSAR configuration/integration
- Experience or awareness of CAN and LIN protocols
- Familiarity with code versioning systems (preferably Git)
- Good English communication skills; team-oriented, proactive, and eager to learn
Nice to Have
- Experience with Vector DaVinci Configurator / DaVinci Developer
- MATLAB / Simulink familiarity
- Tools such as CANalyzer, INCA or CAPL
- Knowledge of ISO 26262 and functional safety concepts
- Python scripting experience
- Experience with IBM Rational Synergy
Location & Schedule
- Hiring location(s): Bologna, Modena, or Pisa (hybrid working model)
- Position type: Full-time (per the client’s employment terms for the selected location)
Compensation & Contract
- Contract: Permanent employment (local contract per client policies)
- Provided salary ranges (as stated by the client): €27,746 – €30,825 and €31,270 – €40,150 (annual gross, per referenced local classification). Final offer will be based on experience, skills and applicable local rules.
