What You’ll Do
This is an entry-level, field-focused engineering role designed for early-career engineers who want to travel and work on hands-on system commissioning and troubleshooting at customer sites. You will work on multidisciplinary automation, controls, and test systems across manufacturing and testing environments.
- Understand and troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical systems onsite.
- Develop and maintain controls and automation software (text-based, object-oriented).
- Build automated test systems (EV battery test systems, aerospace/rocket test, turnkey test and cloud-enabled test & measurement).
- Support commissioning and troubleshooting at customer facilities.
- Collaborate with project teams and assist senior engineers with scoping, estimating, and proposals.
- Manage assigned tasks, escalate risks, and provide regular status updates to clients.
- Grow technical leadership and client-facing skills.
Qualifications
This role is designed for early-career engineers (0–3 years). Candidates should meet the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum GPA of 3.4.
- Strong fundamentals in mechanical and/or electrical engineering.
- Interest and ability to program in text-based, object-oriented languages.
- Quick learner with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for internal and external collaboration.
- Reliable vehicle and willingness to travel 90%–100% for the first 18 months.
- After 18 months, there is an option to transition to a standard engineering role with ~30%–40% travel.
Compensation & Benefits
Compensation is competitive and based on experience and location.
- Salary range: $89,000—$101,000 USD (annual).

Work Location & Travel
- Primary location: Boston, MA (this posting is for Boston, MA).
- This role is travel-heavy: expect 90%–100% onsite travel for the first 18 months.
- Hybrid/field schedule — majority of time spent at customer manufacturing facilities.
