What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is seeking an entry-level Auto Claims Representative (claims trainee) to join their claims team in Newnan, GA. In this role you will learn to manage property & casualty claims through the full lifecycle—investigation, evaluation, negotiation and resolution—working under close supervision while completing a structured claims training program.

  • Estimated pay: $66,750 per year (estimated)
  • Work arrangement: In-person initial training with a merit-based hybrid/work-from-home program afterward, as defined by leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate, evaluate, and settle entry-level auto insurance claims
  • Learn to read and apply insurance policies, endorsements, and forms
  • Follow company claim-handling procedures and compliance requirements
  • Develop fundamental negotiation and settlement skills
  • Communicate with insureds, agents, claimants, legal counsel, and third parties
  • Use designated estimating and loss-adjustment software tools
  • Pursue and maintain required adjuster license(s) per state statute and company timeline
  • Deliver timely, accurate, and customer-focused service throughout the claims process

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent direct experience in property/casualty claims handling
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Above-average written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to write clear reports and correspondence
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to resolve complex issues
  • Commitment to confidentiality and data security
  • Comfortable working with diverse populations
  • Basic math skills including geometry (area/volume) and financial calculations (unit costs, sums)
  • Valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets company underwriting guidelines
  • Willingness to complete ongoing product training and professional development
