What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is hiring an Auto Claims Representative (entry-level / claims trainee) to join its claims team in Columbia, MO. This is a full-time role that combines a structured training program, hands-on mentorship, and opportunities for merit-based work-from-home flexibility after initial in-person training.

• Estimated pay: $72,333 per year (estimated)
• Employment type: Full time
• Location: Columbia, MO — in-person training followed by potential hybrid / work-from-home time as defined by leadership

Key responsibilities:

• Investigate, evaluate, and settle entry-level auto and related claims under close supervision
• Study policies, endorsements, and forms to build product knowledge in property & casualty lines
• Learn and follow company claim-handling procedures and compliance requirements
• Build entry-level negotiation, estimating, and loss-adjustment skills using designated software tools
• Communicate professionally with agents, claimants, legal counsel, and third parties
• Complete the company claims training program and obtain any required adjuster license(s) within the timeline set by the company or statute
• Prepare clear reports and correspondence during the life cycle of a claim

Qualifications

Required / minimum:

• Bachelor’s degree OR equivalent related experience in property/casualty claims handling
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to organize information, multi-task, and make independent decisions within procedure
• Comfort with basic math and geometry for estimating (area, volume) and financial calculations
• Valid driver’s license and driving record that meets Confidential Client underwriting guidelines
• Ability to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship (requirement)

Preferred:

• Prior exposure to insurance claims, loss estimation, or claims administration tools
• Motivation to complete licensing and ongoing product education
