About the Role

Confidential Client is hiring full-time Autism Instructors to work with learners in a K–12 setting that serves children with autism. This entry-level role offers paid training, coaching in evidence-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Verbal Behavior (VB) approaches, and direct, one-on-one support to students. You will help deliver individualized instruction, track progress, and support daily classroom and school routines.


What You’ll Do

  • Develop and execute naturalistic lesson plans that incorporate motivation and IEP goals
  • Use evidence-based ABA/VB teaching strategies to shape skills across learning environments
  • Implement individualized behavior, toileting, and feeding protocols
  • Accurately collect and input daily data on learner progress
  • Apply feedback and instructional recommendations from the school team (teacher, BCBA, program specialists)
  • Create and prepare instructional materials for individual learners
  • Participate in team meetings and high-level student meetings
  • Support school procedures (arrival, lunch, dismissal, cleaning, field trips)
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Who You Are

  • High School Diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to follow supervision and feedback
  • Adaptable to changing work environments and able to manage competing demands
  • Detail oriented with strong planning and organization skills
  • Comfortable with technology (data collection systems, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Self-directed and able to take initiative
  • Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities
  • Able to maintain quality control and apply feedback to improve performance
  • Able to speak, read, and write English to follow curriculum and communicate with team members
  • Able to attend mandatory trainings and follow school safety procedures

Compensation & Benefits

  • Hourly pay range (starting pay scale examples):
    • Additional Support Instructor: $21.00 / hr
    • High School Diploma: $21.50 / hr
    • Associate’s / Undergraduate Degree: $22.00 / hr
    • Master’s Degree: $23.00 / hr
  • Visible posted hourly range for this role: $20.00 – $28.00 per hour
  • Paid training
  • Full benefits: medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO
  • Tuition reimbursement program
  • 12-month, hourly-paid program

Location & Schedule

  • Location: Cockeysville, Maryland (position works on-site)
  • Typical schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:45 AM – 3:45 PM
  • This role requires the ability to sit on the floor, stoop, stand, walk, run, and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds depending on assignments. Physical requirements vary by assignment.
