About the Role

Confidential Client is seeking an Audit Specialist to support the execution, expansion, and continuous improvement of the Internal Audit program. This role works closely with management to understand business processes, identify risk, design and execute audit tests, and report findings. This posting supports campus recruiting and entry-level offers targeting May 2027 starts. The position is based in Travelers Rest, SC.

What You’ll Do

• Assist with maintaining a comprehensive Audit Universe and Risk Assessment
• Support development and completion of the annual Audit Plan
• Work with management to identify risks and design audit procedures aligned to those risks
• Execute audit testing to evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls
• Report audit results and recommendations throughout engagements and in exit meetings
• Prepare formal audit reports for management and relevant governance committees
• Track remediation of audit issues and validate completed items
• Maintain accurate electronic working papers and documentation supporting conclusions
• Recommend improvements to controls and processes to mitigate risk and improve results
• Seek opportunities to streamline audit-related processes and leverage data/technology

• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree required
• Intrinsically motivated and able to take initiative, follow through on improvements, and evaluate outcomes

Employment Details

• Employment type: FULL_TIME (exempt level)
• Typical schedule: Monday–Friday; hours may vary based on business need (generally within an 8:00am–6:00pm window) and may require work beyond 40 hours as business demands dictate
• Location: Travelers Rest, SC (on-site) — position does not require travel
• Physical/functional expectations: frequent computer work, reading, occasional bending/kneeling; ability to remain stationary for extended periods; fine motor coordination for standard office tasks
• Confidential Client participates in the E‑Verify program to confirm work eligibility
