The Audit Associate at Confidential Client participates in financial statement audits within the Assurance practice, applying auditing standards and methodologies to ensure accuracy and compliance. What You’ll Do
- Conduct financial statement audits in compliance with Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS)
- Apply auditing methodologies to evaluate financial records, internal controls, and processes
- Review and verify financial documents to confirm accuracy and adherence to policies and regulations
- Use data analysis to identify trends, risks, and areas for management attention
- Support documentation of audit procedures, findings, and recommended remediation
- Collaborate with engagement teams to meet timelines and deliverables
- Assist senior staff with technical accounting research and the application of accounting standards
- Maintain data quality and protect sensitive financial information
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree completed or in final academic year in Accounting (or equivalent)
- Minimum cumulative GPA: 3.0
- Meet the educational requirements to be eligible to sit for the CPA exam in your intended state of employment before starting full-time
- Entry-level / client service associate: appropriate for candidates beginning their professional accounting careers
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in team-based client engagements
Preferred / What Sets You Apart
- GPA of 3.5 or higher
- Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards
- Experience or coursework in auditing methodologies and internal control evaluation
- Comfort using data analysis to derive insights and support audit conclusions
- Demonstrated curiosity, effective communication, and ability to adapt in ambiguous situations
- Interest in leveraging AI or automation to improve audit efficiency
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $53,500 - $104,000 per year (actual pay depends on skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable employment laws)
- Eligible for an annual discretionary bonus
