Overview

Confidential Client is hiring an entry‑level Audit Associate in the Silicon Valley / San Jose area for Summer/Fall 2027. This is a full‑time Assurance role focused on financial statement audits, technical learning, and client interaction. The position supports career growth toward CPA eligibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct financial statement audits in accordance with Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS).
• Apply auditing methodologies to assess financial records and internal controls.
• Review and verify financial documents for accuracy and compliance with policies and regulations.
• Use data analysis to identify trends, risks, and actionable insights.
• Support implementation of accounting and financial reporting standards (GAAP).
• Collaborate with team members to resolve audit findings and document processes.
• Communicate clearly with clients and internal stakeholders to support engagement delivery.
• Assist with project management tasks to meet timelines and deliverables.
• Validate data quality and maintain security of sensitive financial information.

What You Must Have

• Currently pursuing or completed a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum 3.0 overall GPA.
• Meet the educational requirements to be eligible to sit for the CPA exam in the intended state of employment before starting full‑time.
• Entry‑level candidates finishing their final academic year or recently graduated are encouraged to apply.

Preferred / Differentiators

• 3.5+ overall GPA preferred.
• Familiarity with GAAP and accounting/financial reporting standards.
• Experience or coursework in audit methodology, internal controls, and financial statement analysis.
• Comfort using data tools and applying data analysis to audit work.
• Interest in leveraging AI tools to increase audit efficiency and insight.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $53,500 - $104,000 per year (actual compensation dependent on skills, experience, qualifications, and location).
• Eligible for annual discretionary bonus and standard benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid holidays, vacation, and sick leave.

• Up to 20% travel may be required.
