Position overview

Confidential Client is hiring an Audit Associate for their Assurance team in Raleigh, NC. This is an entry-level, full-time position for candidates completing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Accounting. The role focuses on contributing to financial statement audits, learning auditing methodologies, applying accounting standards, and helping clients maintain transparent, accurate financial reporting.

What you’ll do

As an Audit Associate you will:

• Conduct financial statement audits in compliance with Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS)
• Apply auditing methodologies to evaluate financial documents and internal controls
• Review and verify financial records for accuracy and regulatory compliance
• Use data analysis to identify trends and support audit conclusions
• Support implementation of accounting and reporting standards (GAAP)
• Collaborate with engagement teams to address audit findings and recommend improvements
• Assist with process documentation, project tasks, and meeting audit timelines
• Maintain client communication and support client management needs
• Uphold professional and independence standards and protect sensitive data

Who we’re looking for (Minimum qualifications)

• Currently pursuing or completed a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Minimum overall GPA: 3.0
• Before starting full-time, meet the educational requirements to be eligible to sit for the CPA exam in your intended state of employment
• Entry-level candidates (in final academic year or recently graduated) are encouraged to apply

• Familiarity with auditing methodologies, GAAS and GAAP
• Experience using data analysis to inform audit outcomes

Compensation & benefits

• Salary range: $53,500 - $104,000 per year. Actual compensation will depend on experience, qualifications, and location.
• Eligible for annual discretionary bonus and a benefits package that may include medical, dental, vision, retirement savings (401k), paid time off, and other standard benefits. Specific benefits are provided by the hiring client.

• Travel: up to 20%
