The Opportunity
Our confidential client is hiring an Audit Associate for their Assurance practice in Milwaukee, WI. This entry-level, full-time role focuses on financial statement audit work, applying auditing standards and accounting principles to help clients maintain accurate, compliant financial reporting. You will join a team that values learning, client service, and professional growth while gaining exposure to clients, technical accounting, and project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Conduct financial statement audits in compliance with Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS)
- Apply established auditing methodologies to evaluate financial documents and internal controls
- Review and verify financial records for accuracy and regulatory compliance
- Use data analysis to identify trends, support audit conclusions and provide insights
- Document processes and audit findings to increase efficiency and quality
- Collaborate with team members to develop solutions to audit issues
- Support client communications and help manage deliverables and timelines
- Use technical accounting knowledge to address complex reporting matters
- Maintain data quality and protect sensitive financial information
Qualifications (Minimum)
- Currently pursuing or completed a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Minimum overall GPA: 3.0
- Meet the educational requirements to be eligible to sit for the CPA exam in the state of intended employment prior to starting full-time
- Available to begin or complete final academic requirements in time for an entry-level, client service associate role
Preferred Qualifications
- GPA of 3.5 or higher
- Familiarity with GAAP, GAAS and technical accounting/reporting standards
- Experience or aptitude for data analysis and interpreting financial trends
- Comfortable leveraging technology (including AI tools) to improve efficiency and outcomes
- Strong communication, teamwork and time-management skills
What We Offer
- Salary range: $53,500 - $104,000 per year (actual pay depends on experience, qualifications and location)
- Eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus and access to benefits such as medical, dental, vision, retirement plan contributions, paid time off and more

- Up to 20% travel (client and engagement dependent)
