What You’ll Do

As an Audit Associate for our confidential client in Louisville, KY, you will support financial statement audits and assurance engagements that help clients maintain transparent, accurate financial reporting. This is an entry-level role focused on hands-on learning, professional development, and delivering high-quality audit work under supervision.

  • Conduct financial statement audits in compliance with Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS)
  • Apply auditing methodologies to evaluate financial statements, transactions, and internal controls
  • Review and verify financial documents for accuracy and regulatory compliance
  • Use data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and insights that inform recommendations
  • Document audit processes, findings, and remediation steps clearly and promptly
  • Support project timelines, workpapers preparation, and client communications
  • Collaborate with senior staff to resolve technical accounting and reporting issues
  • Uphold professional standards, confidentiality, and independence requirements

Who You Are (Minimum Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (completed or in final academic year)
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Meet the educational requirements to be eligible to sit for the CPA exam in your intended state of employment before starting full-time
  • Eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship (our client’s hiring policy may limit sponsorship availability)

Preferred Qualifications & Differentiators

  • GPA of 3.5 or higher preferred
  • Familiarity with GAAP and Accounting & Financial Reporting Standards
  • Experience (classroom, internship, or project) using data analysis to support audit conclusions
  • Comfortable learning and applying auditing methodologies and technology-enabled audit tools
  • Interest in leveraging AI or automation tools to improve efficiency and outcomes
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $53,500 – $104,000 per year (actual pay depends on skills, experience, and location)
  • Eligible for annual discretionary bonus
  • Benefits package typically includes medical, dental, vision, retirement (401k), paid time off, and paid holidays — specific offerings provided by the confidential client
  • Travel: up to 20% (client/site dependent)
