What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Audit Associate to join the Assurance team in Greensboro, NC. As an Audit Associate you will support financial statement audits, apply auditing methodology, and help deliver actionable insights to clients while you grow technical skills and professional judgment.
- Conduct financial statement audits in accordance with Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS)
- Apply auditing methodologies to evaluate financial records, transactions and internal controls
- Review and verify financial documents for accuracy and compliance with policies and regulations
- Use data analysis to identify trends, exceptions, and areas that need further investigation
- Document audit procedures, findings, and recommendations to support clear client deliverables
- Collaborate with senior staff and team members to resolve accounting and reporting issues
- Support project management tasks to meet timelines and deliverables
- Protect sensitive financial data and maintain professional independence and conduct
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or completed a Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Minimum overall GPA of 3.0
- Before starting full-time, must meet educational requirements to be eligible to sit for the CPA exam in the intended state of employment
- Entry-level / client service associate candidates should be completing or have completed their final academic year of requirements
Preferred / What Sets You Apart
- Strong preference for candidates with a 3.5+ overall GPA
- Familiarity with GAAP and Accounting & Financial Reporting Standards
- Experience or interest in leveraging AI and data tools to drive audit efficiencies
- Demonstrated analytical skills and comfortable working with financial datasets
- Strong communication skills and a client-service mindset
- Willingness to travel up to 20% as required by engagements
Compensation & Benefits
The salary range for this position is $53,500 - $104,000 per year. Actual pay will depend on skills, experience, qualifications, and location, and in accordance with applicable law. Hired individuals are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Confidential Client offers benefits such as medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid holidays, vacation, and sick leave.
