What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is seeking an entry-level Audit Associate to join its Assurance practice in Five Points, NC. In this hands-on role you will support financial statement audits and related assurance work while developing technical accounting, auditing, and client-facing skills.

• Conduct financial statement audits in compliance with Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS)
• Apply auditing methodologies to evaluate financial records and internal controls
• Review and verify accounting records for accuracy and regulatory compliance
• Use data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for deeper testing
• Support documentation and process-improvement efforts to increase audit efficiency
• Collaborate with engagement teams to address findings and prepare clear deliverables
• Assist with project tasks to meet audit timelines and client expectations
• Interpret financial information to create actionable insights and recommendations
• Uphold professional standards, independence, and confidentiality for client data

Qualifications (Required)

• Bachelor’s degree completed or near completion in Accounting
• Minimum overall GPA: 3.0
• Meet the educational requirements to be eligible to sit for the CPA exam in your intended state of employment prior to starting full-time
• Entry-level / client service associate: candidates will have completed or be completing their final academic year
• Strong communication skills and a client-service mindset
• Basic data analysis ability and comfort using common audit tools or Excel

Preferred / Nice to Have

• GPA of 3.5 or higher
• Familiarity with GAAP and financial reporting standards
• Experience or coursework using auditing methodologies and data analysis tools
• Openness to leveraging AI and automation to improve audit workflows
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and adaptability in ambiguous situations

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $53,500 - $104,000 (actual compensation depends on skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable law)
• Eligible for an annual discretionary bonus
• Benefits typically include: medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid holidays, vacation, and personal/family sick leave
• All offers are subject to verification of qualifications and eligibility to work in the U.S.
