What You’ll Do

You will join the Assurance team as an Audit Associate and contribute to financial statement audits that support transparency and reliable financial reporting. In this entry-level role you’ll support client engagements, perform testing and documentation, apply auditing methodology, and use data to form conclusions that help clients make informed decisions. The role emphasizes learning, professional standards, teamwork, and growing technical accounting and audit skills.


Responsibilities

  • Conduct financial statement audit procedures in accordance with auditing standards (GAAS)
  • Apply auditing methodologies to evaluate financial statements and internal controls
  • Review and verify financial documents for accuracy and compliance with policies and regulations
  • Use data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and insights that inform audit conclusions
  • Assist with documentation and process improvements to increase audit effectiveness
  • Communicate clearly with engagement teams and client contacts to resolve issues
  • Support project management activities to meet timelines and deliverables
  • Research technical accounting matters and escalate complex issues to senior staff
  • Help validate data quality and protect sensitive financial information

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree completed or in progress in Accounting (or closely related field)
  • Minimum overall GPA: 3.0
  • Meet the educational requirements to be eligible to sit for the CPA exam in the intended state of employment before starting full-time
  • Entry-level / recent graduate status or final academic year candidates for client service associate roles

Preferred Qualifications

  • Overall GPA of 3.5 or higher (preferred)
  • Familiarity with GAAP and financial reporting standards
  • Experience or coursework in auditing methodologies and internal control frameworks
  • Strong data analysis and Microsoft Excel skills
  • Curiosity, willingness to ask questions, and ability to learn quickly
  • Interest in leveraging AI and automation to improve audit efficiency (preferred)

Travel & Work Location

  • Travel: up to 20% (client engagements and on-site work as required)
  • Location: Dearborn, MI (local or willing to relocate as required by the client)

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $53,500 - $104,000 (actual pay depends on skills, experience, qualifications, and location)
  • Eligible for an annual discretionary bonus
  • Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, retirement plan (e.g., 401k), paid time off, and other client-specific benefits
