Position overview
Confidential Client, a well-established personal-injury law firm serving Texas and California, is hiring an entry-level Attorney Assistant to support its Pre-Litigation team. This in-office role is ideal for organized, detail-oriented candidates who want hands-on experience managing case intake, client communications, and pre-litigation tasks under attorney supervision.
What you’ll do
- Conduct thorough reviews of client treatment records, insurance policies, and liability documentation to ensure cases are accurately assessed
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, medical providers, insurance adjusters, and attorneys — manage timely, professional communications
- Perform legal research tasks under attorney direction to support case development
- Cover for case managers or property-damage specialists when needed and support pre-litigation attorneys during absences
- Assist with negotiating attorney liens and pre-litigation settlements aimed at favorable client outcomes
- Keep clients informed about case status, treatment progress, and next steps to build trust and reduce escalations
- Conduct client intakes, prepare documents, and perform administrative tasks to reduce attorney workload
- Proactively resolve client concerns and escalate issues appropriately
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Strong organizational skills; able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced legal environment
- High attention to detail for accurate document preparation and case tracking
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills with good judgment
- Clear, professional oral and written communication skills
- Team player who maintains confidentiality and a professional demeanor
- Proficient with Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, and standard office software
- Reliable attendance and punctuality for a 5-day onsite schedule
Location & schedule
- 5 days onsite in Trammells, TX (worksite address provided by the client)
- This role requires consistent, in-office presence to support the pre-litigation team
Compensation
- $20 to $25 per hour
