Position summary

Confidential Client is seeking a licensed Athletic Trainer to provide athletic training services in the secondary school setting. Working under the direction of the team physician and in accordance with the Pennsylvania Athletic Training Practice Act, you will provide injury prevention, immediate care in emergencies, clinical evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation/reconditioning of student-athletes. This is a full-time role (FTE 1.00) with varied shifts and typical hours listed as 7:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.

What you’ll do

• Provide athletic training services for student-athletes in secondary school settings under physician direction.
• Implement injury prevention programs and screening.
• Deliver immediate care and emergency response following standard procedures.
• Perform clinical evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation/reconditioning of musculoskeletal injuries.
• Document patient encounters and maintain accurate medical records in accordance with regulatory and organizational policies.
• Communicate effectively with coaches, physicians, parents, and school staff regarding athlete status and return-to-play decisions.
• Participate in outreach, education and injury-prevention initiatives as needed.

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Athletic Training or related field.
• Licensed in Pennsylvania as an Athletic Trainer (or eligible for licensure if allowed by state rules).
• Current Board of Certification (BOC) certification.
• Current CPR certification.
• PIAA Weight Assessor Certification (may be obtained after employment).

Preferred qualifications

• Minimum two (2) years of athletic training experience preferred.
• Entry-level graduates with BOC certification are encouraged to apply.
• Strong communication and organizational skills and ability to work independently in school-based settings.
