Overview

Confidential Client is seeking an Athletic Trainer and Programs Support professional to provide athletic training, therapeutic care, and program support across school athletic programs. This role requires travel between campuses and attendance at home and away athletic events as assigned. The position is full-time (12-month contract) and includes hands-on care, program coordination, and administrative duties to support student-athletes and the Athletics department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide athletic training and therapeutic care before, during, and after practices and games.
  • Work with coaches, athletes, and medical professionals to evaluate injuries and conditions.
  • Design and implement rehabilitation, training, and nutrition plans for athletes.
  • Monitor injured athletes’ recovery and progress; refer to other medical staff when appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate records for athlete conditions, treatments, training and eligibility.
  • Run and document CPR and First Aid trainings for coaching staff.
  • Ensure compliance with school board concussion-management policy.
  • Assist with pregame and event setup for home and away contests.
  • Act as athletic site manager during practices as needed and open facilities/fields.
  • Develop and manage Fitness Center workout plans and athlete nutrition guidance.
  • Assist with game confirmations, social media/promotion, facility rentals, and field setup.
  • Coordinate and manage summer athletic camps and assist other departments during off-season.
  • Perform clerical tasks: reports, inventory, budget assistance, and restocking supplies.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or entry-level Master’s) and completion of an athletic training program approved by NATA.
  • Certification by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Board of Certification (Class A).
  • Current CPR and First Aid certifications; CPR/First Aid Instructor certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
  • Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license and required Pennsylvania school clearances.
  • Proficiency with Google Docs/Sheets and email.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, multitask, and communicate effectively with students, staff, families, and medical professionals.
  • Physical ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift/move equipment and patients as needed (occasional patient transfers may exceed 100–200 lbs).

  • Adhere to all school policies and procedures as outlined in the employee handbook.
  • Attend required staff, professional meetings, conferences, and training workshops.
  • Prepare required reports and participate in program evaluation and improvement efforts.
  • Follow board-approved financial and administrative policies.

Terms & Schedule

  • Term: Twelve (12) months (12-month contract). Contract terms and salary determined by the Board of Trustees.
  • Flexible scheduling required, including evenings and weekends for events and facility rentals.
  • Travel across campuses required.
