What You’ll Do
As an Assurance Staff I (Commercial), you will work with the assurance/audit team to perform verification and testing procedures needed to support audits and reviews of clients’ financial statements. Typical responsibilities include:
- Perform detailed account analyses, substantive testing, and sample testing for financial statement line items
- Assist with planning and execution of audit procedures for public and private clients
- Test internal controls and document testing results accurately in workpapers
- Prepare clear, professional documentation and summaries for managers and partners
- Support client communication during engagements and at fieldwork sites
- Work under the direction of managers and senior staff; participate in training and on-the-job coaching
- Use MS Excel and firm tools to analyze financial data and prepare schedules
This role emphasizes hands-on learning, high-quality documentation, and developing technical audit skills that support career progression on the assurance track.
Qualifications
Basic requirements:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting (or equivalent) from an accredited college or university

0–2 years of recent public accounting experience (entry-level candidates encouraged)

Hybrid role with in-office requirements; ability to commute reliably to the assigned Minneapolis office and client sites

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future

Estimated compensation: $95,185 per year (estimated). Actual pay is determined by the Confidential Client based on experience, skills, and location.
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of educational requirements toward CPA licensure for the state where you will be assigned
- 150 academic credits or a Master’s degree in accounting (preferred)
- Final graduation between Dec 2026 and Sept 2027 (for class-hire/entry cohorts)
- Strong academic record (minimum GPA 3.0 preferred)
- Proficiency with MS Excel and MS Word
- Strong time management, organization, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively; strong attention to detail and analytical ability
