Role Overview
The Associate UX Designer will help design intuitive, engaging, and seamless digital experiences that meet user needs and business goals. You will work closely with cross-functional teams — including solution managers, engineers, and other designers — to produce design assets, prototypes, and research insights that drive product decisions. This is a full-time, on-site role in Overland Park, KS with our confidential client.
What You’ll Do
- Assist solutions and engineering teammates by producing UI assets and interactive prototypes (icons, graphics, layouts).
- Prepare and maintain design documentation, specifications, and style guides to ensure design consistency.
- Conduct user research (interviews, surveys, usability tests) and synthesize findings into actionable insights for design improvements.
- Collaborate with UX designers and developers to ensure visual coherence, accessibility, and usability across products.
- Participate in design reviews and workshops; iterate on feedback to improve outcomes.
- Leverage AI-assisted tools and platforms to accelerate workflows, support ideation, and improve decision-making.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support product and team goals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in design, HCI, human factors, or a related field — or equivalent work experience.
- 0–2 years of relevant UX or product-design experience.
- Portfolio or examples demonstrating thoughtful, user-centered design work (projects, prototypes, research summaries).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Ability to work on-site in Overland Park, KS and coordinate with distributed teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience running or supporting usability testing and design validation.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted productivity/design tools (examples: Claude or similar platforms).
- Basic knowledge of version control workflows (e.g., GitHub) and design handoff processes.
- A passion for user-centered design, accessibility, and continuous learning.

- Must adhere to applicable security policies and procedures to protect company and client information.
- Must be able to sit and view a computer screen for extended periods.
