What You’ll Do

  • Assist with building, executing, and allocating trades across client accounts and custodial platforms (equities, mutual funds, and other approved instruments).
  • Monitor daily trading workflows, queues, and task lists to ensure timely, accurate completion of trading activity.
  • Research and help resolve trade, position, and cash breaks in coordination with Trading, Operations, Advisors, custodians, and executing brokers.
  • Maintain client accounts within rebalancing software: account setup, target updates, and running rebalancing tools.
  • Support portfolio maintenance activities, including rebalancing, cash reviews, tax-loss harvesting, and identifying portfolios requiring review.
  • Support cash management: review cash balances, contributions, distributions, pending cash needs, and coordinate follow-up with advisory and operations teams.
  • Use trading and CRM platforms (examples: RedBlack, Salesforce) to support daily trading and portfolio tasks.
  • Adhere to trading procedures, compliance requirements, and established operating best practices.
  • Complete ad hoc assignments accurately and on time and provide updates to stakeholders.
  • Help develop and maintain trading team automation using Python, VBA, and/or Power Automate.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, Mathematics, or related discipline preferred.
  • 0–3 years experience in financial services, investment operations, trading support, or related roles — entry-level candidates with strong coursework or internships are welcome.
  • Interest in trading, portfolio operations, financial markets, and investment management.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accuracy working with financial data.
  • Working knowledge of Python; experience with VBA or Power Automate is a plus.
  • Experience with trading, portfolio accounting, CRM, or custodial platforms is helpful but not required.
  • Familiarity with equity, mutual fund, or fixed income trading and custodial platforms (e.g., Fidelity Institutional, Charles Schwab Institutional) is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Strong organizational skills; ability to prioritize, meet recurring deadlines, and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Annual base salary range (expected): $60,000–$80,000 USD.
  • Actual base pay may vary based on experience, subject matter expertise, work location, and individual qualifications.
  • Total compensation may include an annual cash bonus and a comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), etc.).
  • This is an exempt role; job title and compensation components may be adjusted based on the selected candidate’s experience and education.

  • Location: Boston, MA (on-site / local).
  • Employment type: Full-time (Contract).
