What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is hiring an Associate-level Threat Intelligence Consultant to support cyber threat research, malware analysis, and client-facing intelligence work. In this role you will help collect, analyze, and communicate tactical and operational cyber threat intelligence to support incident response, threat hunting, and security operations across enterprise clients.

  • Analyze malware, dynamic analysis artifacts, attack patterns, and indicators of compromise in controlled environments.
  • Support threat intelligence investigations, threat hunting, and cyber threat assessments.
  • Research adversary behaviors, campaigns, vulnerabilities, and industry-specific threat trends.
  • Produce clear technical reports, briefings, and intelligence summaries for both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Work with threat intelligence platforms, automation tools, scripting, and AI-assisted analysis workflows.
  • Collaborate with incident responders, reverse engineers, and security researchers across global teams.
  • Travel up to 100% as required by client engagements.

Required qualifications

  • Demonstrated problem-solving, analytical thinking, adaptability, and ownership in technical or project environments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to explain technical findings clearly.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work in collaborative consulting teams.
  • Working knowledge of one or more scripting/programming languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell, Java, .NET, Ruby).
  • Exposure to scripting, automation, or development of reusable tools for security analysis.
  • Familiarity with reverse engineering concepts and tools (disassemblers, debuggers).
  • Understanding of Windows and/or Linux internals and common networking protocols.
  • Experience or exposure to forensic analysis, memory analysis, malware analysis, or cyber investigative methodologies.
  • Interest in threat intelligence, adversary analysis, and AI-assisted security workflows.
  • Willingness to travel up to 100%.

Preferred qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field.
  • Practical experience in incident response, digital forensics, threat hunting, cloud security, or security operations.
  • Familiarity with threat intelligence platforms, AI security tooling, and security research methodologies.
  • Prior consulting or client-facing experience is a plus.

Location & Work Model

  • Job location: Tarrytown, TX (Confidential Client). This role is onsite/consulting-focused and may require significant travel to client sites.
