Overview

Confidential Client is hiring an Associate Territory Manager (entry-level, field-based) to support the Vascular Access sales team. This role provides hands-on exposure to a medical-device product portfolio — primary focus areas include Safety IV Catheters, Accucath, and PowerGlide — while learning the sales process, supporting customer training, and helping protect and grow market share in assigned territories. This position is based in Richmond, VA and is a field/telecommute role that requires travel and flexible scheduling.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support Sales Consultants in the field through ride-alongs and direct observation to learn sales calls and territory management.
  • Attend product and sales training to develop technical knowledge of vascular access devices.
  • Provide product information, demonstrations, and in-service training to hospital customers and clinical staff.
  • Support ordering, pricing, and backorder communication with customers.
  • Assist with customer account updates and report significant account changes to Territory Manager and Regional Business Manager.
  • Document and report customer complaints per Vascular Access Device (VAD) complaint procedure.
  • Complete required administrative tasks and maintain accurate records.
  • Cultivate and help expand customer relationships to support growth of the Vascular Access portfolio.
  • Work a flexible schedule and travel as needed (up to ~40% travel).

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 0–4 years of outside sales experience (or equivalent experience).
  • Willingness to travel up to 40%.
  • Strong interpersonal, listening, and communication skills.
  • Willingness to relocate for future Territory Manager opportunities.
  • Basic familiarity with anatomy and medical/vascular terminology is a plus.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong persuasion and influencing skills.
  • Good judgment and professional conduct.
  • Ability to build and sustain professional relationships with hospital staff and internal teams.
  • Comfortable learning technical clinical products and delivering training to clinical audiences.

Compensation & Work Arrangement

  • Estimated compensation (from source): $58,491 per year — estimated.
  • Role is field-based/telecommute with regular on-site or customer visits expected. Travel and occasional in-office collaboration are required.
