Role overview
This entry-level Associate Territory Manager role supports the sales organization for a confidential client in the medical technology (MedTech) industry. You will learn the sales process through field rides, product training, and by supporting Sales Consultants across a defined region. This position is based in Los Angeles, CA (telecommute/field-based) and requires travel up to 40%. Base compensation is $65,000 with an additional incentive opportunity of $18,000.
What You’ll Do
- Support the Sales Team by participating in field rides and observing sales calls to develop selling skills.
- Attend product and sales training to become proficient in the Vascular Access product portfolio (primary emphasis on Safety IV Catheters, Accucath, and PowerGlide).
- Provide product education, training, and in-service demonstrations to clinical and purchasing staff.
- Communicate pricing, backorder status, and company policies to customers.
- Record and report customer feedback and complaints following device complaint procedures.
- Coordinate with Territory Manager and District/Regional Business Manager to plan and prioritize sales calls.
- Complete administrative and CRM tasks accurately and on time.
- Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with hospitals and other healthcare customers to protect and grow market share.
- Work a flexible schedule and travel as required to support customer needs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 0–4 years of outside sales experience or equivalent experience.
- Ability to travel up to 40% (field-based role).
- Strong interpersonal, listening, and communication skills.
- Persuasion and influencing skills with good professional judgment.
- Basic knowledge of anatomy, medical, and vascular terminology (preferred).
- Willingness to relocate for available Territory Manager opportunities as you develop.
- Demonstrated ability to build and sustain professional relationships with hospital staff and internal teams.
Compensation & Benefits (Summary)
- Base salary: $65,000 per year
- Incentive/bonus potential: $18,000 per year (target)
