What You’ll Do

The Associate Technical Services is an entry-level Technical Services role supporting R&D and plant teams to move product concepts from bench-top and pilot plant work through commercialization. You will lead or support technical project teams and provide hands-on formulation, testing, and process verification to ensure successful product launches and ongoing plant performance.

  • Lead and support product and process development projects from concept to commercialization.
  • Develop and validate manufacturing instructions and product specifications in the product specification system.
  • Conduct bench-top and pilot plant trials; verify manufacturing instructions are followed during first production runs.
  • Use project management tools to organize and drive cross-functional project teams.
  • Support product transfers and qualification of finished goods, components, and packaging.
  • Work with supply chain and operations to verify plant capabilities through testing to confirm product performance, labor needs, and yields.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing or formulation issues: collect data, run tests, summarize findings, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with Corporate R&D, Marketing, Engineering, Purchasing and Manufacturing to advance projects to pilot market and launch.

Who You Are / Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Meat Science, Biology, Chemistry, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in Quality, Food Safety, R&D, or plant operations.
  • Strong working knowledge of quality control and HACCP principles, product development, and basic formulations.
  • Practical experience or familiarity with bench-top and pilot plant activities preferred.
  • Comfortable executing experiments, collecting and summarizing data, and documenting technical outcomes.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills; able to translate technical findings for diverse audiences.
  • Willingness to learn and use enterprise software and Microsoft Office tools.

Compensation & Incentives

  • Base pay range: $52,000.00 - $88,000.00 per year.
  • Annual Incentive Plan: Yes.
  • Long-Term Incentive Plan: No. Note: Listed amounts represent base pay. Additional pay may be available for shift differentials, overtime, premiums, bonuses, or other incentives. Final offers are based on skills, market data, internal equity and other factors.
