Program Overview

Confidential Client is recruiting entry-level Associate Technical Consultants to join a Technical Consultant Development Program (CDP). This accelerated program trains early-career engineers to deliver production-quality implementations of enterprise SaaS and AI solutions for global life sciences customers. You will move quickly from onboarding into client-facing technical delivery—writing production code, building integrations, and contributing to DevOps and migration efforts.

What You’ll Do

  • Build production solutions on enterprise SaaS platforms, writing code and integrating via SDKs and APIs.
  • Develop custom integrations using Java SDKs and public APIs and participate in DevOps pipeline creation and deployment.
  • Work with migration architects to design backend logic and execute complex data migration scripts for global clients.
  • Ship internal, developer-facing tooling to improve engineering and delivery workflows across the services organization.
  • Own technical delivery on client engagements, balancing software engineering with client-facing responsibilities.
  • Participate in team-based design reviews and receive mentoring from senior Technical and Migration Architects.

Who We’re Looking For (Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Demonstrated experience with object-oriented programming principles.
  • Strong technical communication and storytelling skills—able to explain architecture/decisions to stakeholders.
  • High drive, initiative, and the ability to learn rapidly in an intense, customer-focused environment.
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with a record of academic performance.
  • Integrity and commitment to ethical behavior consistent with a Public Benefit mission.
  • Willingness to travel as needed (up to ~20%).
  • Experience: recent university graduate (up to 2 years postgraduate experience maximum).

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Python, C, Java, JavaScript, HTML, and/or SQL.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
  • Experience using AI-driven developer tools or CLI assistants (for example: Claude Code, Gemini CLI, or similar).

Selection Process

The hiring process is designed to be fast and respectful:

  • Application: submit resume and short cover letter (Careertakes may request additional screening items).
  • Initial Response: you’ll be notified of next steps within about one week.
  • Interview & Technical Challenge: a 60-minute interview followed by a 30-minute coding challenge (platform-based).
  • Case Exercise: a short case with the services team; you will have a limited prep window (e.g., three days).
  • Decision: typically within one week after the final stage.
  • Offer Commitment: if extended an offer, you will have a limited window to accept so the client can reserve your start date.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Starting Salary: $80,000 USD (listed by the client).
  • After one year, high performers may receive a salary increase and become eligible for the client’s bonus program.
  • Additional benefits and details will be provided by the client during the interview/offer stage.

Work Authorization & Location

  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States. The client does not provide visa sponsorship for this role.
  • This role is based in New York, NY. The position operates in a hybrid model; candidates should live within reasonable commuting distance of the New York product hub for in-person collaboration as needed.
  • Travel: up to ~20% as needed for client work.
