What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level tax associate for the Summer 2027 cycle in Madison, WI. In this role you will gain hands-on experience preparing tax work and supporting client engagements while being coached by experienced staff and managers.
- Work with client personnel to reconcile account differences and analyze financial data
- Prepare individual, corporate, partnership, and other tax returns
- Calculate tax extensions and estimate tax payments
- Participate in client meetings alongside partners and managers
- Support project work and deliverables under supervision, escalating issues as needed

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (required for Associate-level roles)
- Minimum cumulative overall GPA of 3.0
- Minimum grade of C or higher in job-relevant coursework and in intermediate accounting
- Eligible to sit for the CPA exam in at least one U.S. state by the start date
- Solid technical accounting knowledge
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Reliable transportation to and from the assigned office and for off-site meetings/events
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. required; visa sponsorship is not available for this role
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior internships or practical experience in a public accounting tax role
- Exposure to tax software or prior coursework in taxation
