About the Role
Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Associate, Tax (January 2027 start) to join its Greenville, SC office. This full-time role is designed for accounting students or recent graduates pursuing CPA eligibility who want hands-on tax experience across individual, corporate, and partnership engagements. You will be coached by experienced staff and managers, work directly with clients, and develop technical and client-facing skills that support long-term career growth.
What You’ll Do
- Work with client personnel to reconcile account differences and analyze financial data
- Prepare individual, corporate, partnership, and other tax returns
- Calculate tax extensions and estimate tax payments
- Participate in client meetings alongside partners and managers
- Develop technical accounting and tax skills through on-the-job coaching and training
- Manage deadlines and deliver accurate work under pressure

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required for Associate positions
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
- Minimum grade of C or higher in job‑relevant coursework and in intermediate accounting
- Eligible to sit for the CPA exam in at least one U.S. state by the role start date
- Solid technical accounting knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
- Reliable transportation to assigned office and ability to attend in-person off-site meetings and events
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior internships or experience in a public accounting firm performing tax work
