What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Tax Associate to join their Evansville, IN office for the Fall 2027 tax cycle. This full-time role is designed for accounting students pursuing CPA eligibility who want hands-on tax experience, coaching from experienced staff, and clear pathways for career growth.
- Work with client personnel to reconcile account differences and analyze financial data
- Prepare individual, corporate, partnership, and other tax returns
- Calculate tax extensions and estimate tax payments
- Participate in client meetings alongside partners and managers
- Learn and apply technical accounting and tax concepts under supervision
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications required for this role:
- Bachelor’s degree (required for Associate positions)
- Maintain a minimum cumulative overall GPA of 3.0
- Minimum grade of C or higher in job-relevant coursework and intermediate accounting
- Eligible to sit for the CPA exam in at least one U.S. state by the role start date
- Solid technical accounting knowledge
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel emphasis)
- Reliable transportation to and from the assigned office; ability to attend in-person meetings and events
- Strong time management, written and verbal communication, and attention to detail
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team under deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior internships in a public accounting firm performing tax work
Compensation & Schedule

- Estimated annual pay (source listing): $44,546 per year — estimated
