What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Tax Associate in Dallas, TX to support tax compliance and advisory work across a variety of client industries. This role is ideal for accounting graduates pursuing CPA eligibility who want structured coaching, hands-on tax return preparation, and client-facing experience.
- Work with client personnel to reconcile account differences and analyze financial data
- Prepare individual, corporate, partnership, and other tax returns
- Calculate tax extensions and estimate payments
- Participate in client meetings alongside partners and managers
- Support engagement workflows and documentation to meet deadlines and quality standards
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting required
- Pursuing the education requirements to become a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the state of employment (must be eligible to sit for the CPA exam)
- Completion of required academic credits (150 credit hours) must be met prior to the start date for this role
- Solid technical accounting knowledge and attention to detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Effective time management, clear oral and written communication, and ability to work independently and in teams
- Reliable transportation to the Dallas office and to attend off-site client meetings as required
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior internships or practical experience in public accounting performing tax work
- Familiarity with tax preparation software and basic tax research principles
