Position Overview
This is an onsite, entry-level Associate Systems Engineer role supporting laboratory test and evaluation activities for electro-mechanical systems in the medical/device engineering space. The Confidential Client seeks motivated, hands-on candidates to run test protocols, collect and assess data, and support development and reliability testing of new functional models.

What You’ll Do
- Run and document laboratory test protocols and experiments for electro-mechanical systems
- Conduct functional and reliability testing; collect, validate and summarize test data
- Assist with test setups, instrumentation, and calibration activities
- Participate in design reviews and help translate design concepts into test plans
- Troubleshoot and investigate issues; help determine root cause and recommend engineering solutions
- Support development of manufacturing processes and handoffs to manufacturing/production teams
- Prepare clear technical reports, presentations and maintain quality-focused documentation
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional technical teams
Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Systems Engineering, Mechanical, Chemical, Biomedical engineering, or a related field
- 0–3 years of relevant experience (internships, co-ops or early-career engineering roles welcomed)
- Hands-on experience or coursework with electro-mechanical devices, lab testing, or prototyping preferred
- Able to follow written procedures and protocols with attention to detail
- Basic engineering techniques and familiarity with technical literature search
- Proficient with word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation/graphical tools
- Strong communication, teamwork, and a quality-first mindset
Preferred Skills & Tools
- Lab instrumentation and test equipment experience (oscilloscopes, data acquisition, bench tools) — a plus
- Experience documenting test results and presenting findings to engineering teams
- Familiarity with reliability testing and design verification activities
