What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is hiring early-career Systems Engineers to join a systems engineering team focused on total-system planning, integration, verification, validation and life‑cycle analysis. You will work on system-level technical planning and perform analyses that translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications while balancing technical, schedule, and cost constraints.

  • Perform analyses across the full product life cycle: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal
  • Conduct functional analysis, timeline analysis, trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition
  • Support system integration, verification & validation activities and system-level test planning
  • Contribute to cost, risk, supportability and effectiveness analyses
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system solutions and ensure requirements traceability
  • Communicate technical findings to engineers and stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Translate customer or product requirements into total-system solutions
  • Perform detailed trade studies and requirements allocation to hardware/software specifications
  • Support verification, validation and integration efforts across disciplines
  • Assist in developing schedules, technical plans, and risk mitigation strategies
  • Document analyses, interface definitions and test results

Minimum Qualifications

The role may be filled at two levels (Associate Engineer Systems / Engineer Systems). Candidates must meet the criteria for the level they apply to:

Associate Engineer Systems (T01)

  • Bachelor’s degree (completed or completing) from an accredited institution
  • Major in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math)
  • Ability to obtain and/or transfer and maintain the adjudicated government Top Secret clearance (or required program access) within a reasonable period

Engineer Systems (T02)

  • Master’s degree (completed or completing) OR Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years of relevant electrical engineering experience
  • Major in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math)
  • Ability to obtain and/or transfer and maintain the adjudicated government Secret clearance (or required program access) within a reasonable period

Preferred Qualifications

  • Cumulative GPA of 3.25/4.0 or higher
  • Previous internship, co-op or relevant work experience
  • Demonstrated leadership, teamwork and strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Participation in technical or professional extracurricular activities

Compensation & Benefits

  • Associate Engineer Systems: $65,800 — $98,800 per year (range provided by Confidential Client)
  • Engineer Systems: $79,300 — $118,900 per year (range provided by Confidential Client)

Compensation may be adjusted for experience, education and market factors. Employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, discretionary/annual bonuses, retirement savings, health insurance, life & disability insurance, paid holidays and paid time off. Additional benefits and incentive eligibility vary by role.


Location, Clearance & Travel

  • Location: Melbourne, FL (onsite at Confidential Client facilities)
  • Security: Clearance required. U.S. citizenship is required for all positions that require a government security clearance. Candidates must be able to obtain and/or transfer and maintain the required adjudicated clearance (Secret or Top Secret) and program access within a reasonable period.
  • Travel: Approximately 10% travel expected
