What You’ll Do

This entry-level role supports the Confidential Client’s strategy and business development activities. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Aiding in tracking and proactive management of IRAD to ensure strategic merit, robust business cases, and program performance
• Assisting in assessment of emerging technologies and performing competitive intelligence research on market disruptors and new entrants
• Evaluating and helping manage new strategic business opportunities, initiatives, and partnerships
• Supporting the organization’s strategic planning process, including development of go-to-market strategies, market launch/messaging, and integrated implementation plans
• Performing economic analyses and developing business models to validate product and market opportunities
• Conducting market analysis, monitoring competitive activity, and identifying customer needs
• Supporting planning, due diligence, and implementation of strategic business objectives
• Communicating findings and recommendations clearly with team members and stakeholders; contributing to systems and process improvements to meet operational targets

Qualifications

To be considered for this role you must meet the educational eligibility below and demonstrate strong analytical ability and effective communication:

• To be eligible, applicants must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in business, liberal arts, data analysis, data science, or a related field — or have completed a Bachelor’s degree within the last 12 months
• Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to synthesize market and competitive information
• Clear written and verbal communication; able to present findings to internal stakeholders
• Comfortable contributing to strategic planning and economic analysis exercises
• Team player who can work under general direction within established processes

Schedule & Location

• Primary location: Rochester, NY (onsite / client site)
• Schedule: 9/80 work schedule (employees work 9 out of every 14 days, totaling 80 hours, with every other Friday off)

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay transparency: For applicants in Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York State, and Vermont, the salary range for this role is $53,500–$99,500. Final offers may vary based on experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
• Benefits (may vary by hire date and schedule): health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, employee assistance program (EAP), education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and company-paid holidays.
• Some positions may require the ability to obtain a security clearance; security clearances are typically limited to U.S. citizens. Conditional offers may include background checks and pre-employment drug screening where permitted by law.
