Position Summary

Confidential Client is hiring an Associate Software Product Manager to join a Student Life Cycle Services product team focused on improving the online-to-enrollment experience for students. This is an early-career, full-time, in-office role based in Salt Lake City, UT. The role reports to senior product leaders and works closely with engineering, UX, marketing, and enrollment teams to turn strategy into measurable product outcomes.

What You’ll Do

  • Support the full product lifecycle: ideation, requirements, design support, testing, documentation, and release activities
  • Translate product vision from senior PMs into clear business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
  • Collaborate with engineering, UX, marketing, and enrollment stakeholders to build simple, effective solutions
  • Contribute to backlog refinement and prioritization while balancing stakeholder needs and product value
  • Help define user flows and mockups and ensure alignment across cross-functional teams
  • Participate in QA, user acceptance testing, and release readiness to ensure high-quality outcomes
  • Use data and user feedback to evaluate product performance and confirm problems are effectively solved

What You’ll Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in a related field is a plus
  • ~1 year of relevant experience as a product manager, product owner, or similar role (early-career / entry-level)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; outcome-driven mindset
  • Clear communication skills and ability to translate ideas into structured requirements
  • Comfortable working in ambiguity and adapting to evolving priorities
  • Experience with tools such as Jira and Microsoft Office; exposure to AI tools is a plus
  • Proven ability to collaborate across teams and build strong working relationships

Nice-to-Have / Bonus Points

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • 3+ years of product management, product ownership, or closely related experience
  • Experience in education technology, higher education, or other mission-driven organizations
  • Familiarity with agile product development practices

Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay Range (estimated): $81,300 — $121,900 per year. This range reflects a good-faith estimate based on current market and internal pay practices; final offer will consider skills, experience, and other factors.
  • This full-time regular role is eligible for benefits including medical, dental, vision, retirement savings, paid time off, parental leave, and other employee programs offered by the Confidential Client.

Work Location & Visa Sponsorship

  • This is a full-time, in-office role requiring five days per week in Salt Lake City, UT.
  • Confidential Client is not able to provide visa sponsorship for this role.
