What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is seeking early-career Software Engineers to join a mission-driven Defense Systems team in Huntsville, AL. You will contribute to software and systems engineering activities that support mission-critical programs.

• Help create and update system- and software-related architecture artifacts that align to cost, schedule, and risk constraints
• Define and analyze requirements; support allocation, requirements traceability, and planned verification methods
• Assist with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and integrate digital engineering toolchains per program plans/SEMP
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams (systems, software, verification, and test)
• Participate in design reviews, verification planning, and process improvement activities
• Communicate technical status and issues clearly to engineering leads and stakeholders

Who We’re Looking For

This requisition may be filled at one of two levels. Candidates should review the qualifications for the level they are applying to.

Associate Software Engineer (T01) — Required:

• Bachelor’s degree (completed or near completion) from an accredited institution
• Major in Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related software development field
• U.S. citizenship required and ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance

Software Engineer (T02) — Required:

• Master’s degree (completed or near completion) from an accredited institution
• Major in Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related software development field
• U.S. citizenship required and ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance

Preferred (both levels):

• Cumulative GPA of 3.7/4.0 or higher
• Internship, co-op or relevant hands-on experience
• Demonstrated teamwork, leadership, and strong interpersonal communication
• Familiarity or coursework in MBSE, requirements engineering, or software architecture

• Location: Huntsville, AL (on-site at Confidential Client facilities; local reporting/onsite work required)
• Employment type: Full-time
• Estimated salary ranges (provided by client):
  • Associate Software Engineer (T01): $72,700 – $109,100 per year
  • Software Engineer (T02): $87,600 – $131,400 per year

• U.S. citizenship is required for positions that will require a government security clearance. Candidates must be able to obtain the appropriate U.S. Government clearance.
