What You’ll Do

This is an entry-level/full-time Associate Software Engineer role supporting a confidential client in the Information Technology & Services industry. You will join an engineering team building web applications and services using modern JavaScript stacks. Typical responsibilities include:

• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering to deliver features from concept to production
• Implement front-end components using React and maintain responsive, accessible user interfaces
• Build and maintain back-end services and REST APIs using Node.js
• Work with microservices architecture and integrate services across the platform
• Write unit and integration tests to maintain code quality
• Use source control (Git) and participate in code reviews
• Troubleshoot and debug issues across the full stack in staging and production environments
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and help improve team development processes

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking candidates who are early-career software engineers or recent graduates with hands-on experience building web apps or APIs. Key qualifications:

• 0–2 years professional software development experience or equivalent project experience
• Practical experience with React and modern JavaScript (ES6+)
• Experience building REST APIs with Node.js (Express, NestJS, or similar)
• Understanding of microservices concepts and HTTP-based integrations
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and frontend tooling (Webpack, Vite, or similar)
• Experience with Git and collaborative workflows (feature branches, pull requests)
• Basic knowledge of testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha, React Testing Library)
• Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced environment
• Effective verbal and written communication skills

Nice-to-Have / Preferred

• Experience with TypeScript
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Experience with databases (Postgres, MongoDB) and ORM tools
• Exposure to CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CircleCI)
• Internship or open-source contributions demonstrating full-stack work

This role is based in the San Francisco Bay Area, CA. The confidential client may offer a hybrid work model; exact on-site expectations will be discussed during the interview process.

Compensation details are managed by the confidential client and will be shared during the hiring process. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States; sponsorship availability will be discussed case-by-case.
