What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is seeking early-career software engineers to design, develop, document, test, and debug software and systems with logical and mathematical solutions used in mission-critical products.

• Design, develop, test and debug applications and systems software.
• Conduct multidisciplinary research and collaborate with hardware/equipment designers.
• Determine computer user needs and analyze system capabilities to resolve program- and system-level issues.
• Prepare operating instructions and technical documentation.
• Design and develop compilers, assemblers, utility programs, and operating system components.
• Ensure software engineering standards, processes, and best practices are met.

This requisition may be filled at either an Associate Engineer Software (T01) or Engineer Software (T02) level depending on qualifications.

Minimum Qualifications

Basic Qualifications for an Associate Engineer Software (T01)

• Completing or completed a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution by August 2027.
• Major in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a similar STEM degree.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) and Program Special Access within a reasonable period of time; final approved clearance and program access may be required to start.

Basic Qualifications for an Engineer Software (T02)

• Completing or completed a Master’s degree from an accredited institution by August 2027, OR completing or completed a Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years of software experience by August 2027.
• Major in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a similar STEM degree.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) and Program Special Access within a reasonable period of time; final approved clearance and program access may be required to start.

Preferred Qualifications

• Cumulative GPA of 3.25/4.0 or higher.
• Internship/co-op or other relevant work experience.
• Demonstrated teamwork, leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Participation in professional, community, or extracurricular activities related to software engineering.

Compensation & Benefits

• Associate Engineer Software: $62,300.00 - $114,400.00 (annual)
• Engineer Software: $75,100.00 - $137,600.00 (annual)

The ranges above are provided by Confidential Client as a guideline. Final base salary offers may vary based on role level, scope/responsibilities, candidate experience, education, skills, and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonuses, and other benefits including health insurance, life/disability insurance, retirement/savings programs, paid time off, and company-paid holidays.
