What You’ll Do

You will join a growing Salesforce engineering team supporting our confidential client’s mission-focused IT services. This is an entry-level / early-career role where you will learn from senior engineers and contribute to the delivery, testing, and support of Salesforce-based solutions.

  • Assist in developing, configuring, testing, and implementing Salesforce solutions under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Contribute to technical design discussions and help translate business requirements into Salesforce solutions.
  • Develop and enhance Salesforce functionality using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flow, SOQL, and platform configuration.
  • Participate in testing, troubleshooting, deployments, documentation, and application support.
  • Collaborate with senior developers, business analysts, QA engineers, and other team members throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Take ownership of smaller features and, over time, increasingly complex development tasks as your skills grow.

Qualifications

  • 0–2 years of software development experience, including internships or academic/project experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent academic/project experience).
  • Exposure to Salesforce configuration or development is preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with object-oriented programming and technologies such as Java, C#, JavaScript, or Python.
  • Interest in developing expertise in Salesforce (Apex, Lightning Web Components, SOQL, Flow, APIs, integrations).
  • Exposure to relational databases, SQL, APIs, or integration concepts.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, curiosity, and the ability to learn in a collaborative environment.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance is required for this role.

Nice-to-Have

  • Salesforce Trailhead experience or certifications.
  • Previous experience with Salesforce integrations, REST/SOAP APIs, or CI/CD for Salesforce deployments.
  • Practical experience with testing frameworks, version control (Git), or agile development processes.

Work Location & Schedule

  • Hybrid role based in Sterling, VA — typically 2 days per week in the Sterling HQ (exact schedule discussed during interview).
