What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is seeking an entry-level Associate Software Engineer to join an IT team in Plano, TX (onsite). This is a contract — long-term opportunity ideal for candidates who want hands-on software development experience, mentorship, and exposure to modern engineering practices.

• Assist in the design, development, and testing of software applications.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and fix defects with guidance from senior engineers.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to team engineering standards.
• Learn and apply tools, frameworks, and workflows used by the team (CI/CD, version control, basic devops tooling).
• Collaborate with testers, product managers, and other engineers to deliver high-quality software.

Who You Are (Required Qualifications)

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 0–1 year of professional experience — entry-level candidates encouraged to apply.
• Basic working knowledge of:
  • Linux
  • SQL
  • Bash / Shell scripting
• Familiarity with web technologies, databases, or the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Clear communication and ability to work effectively on a team.

• Internship or academic project experience building web or backend services.
• Familiarity with Git, REST APIs, or one modern programming language (Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, etc.).
