Role overview

Confidential Client is hiring early-career Associate and Software Engineers for a Pathways rotational program based in Linthicum, MD. This full-time role offers three engineering rotations, hands-on software development experience, and exposure to systems used in space and defense applications. Relocation assistance may be available.

What You’ll Do

As a member of the software engineering team you will design, develop, document, test, and debug applications and systems. You will collaborate with hardware engineers and cross-functional teams to integrate software into larger systems, contribute to multidisciplinary research, and follow engineering best practices across the software lifecycle.

• Design and implement application and system-level software
• Write unit and integration tests, and perform debugging and defect resolution
• Produce technical documentation and test reports
• Collaborate with hardware and systems engineers on integration tasks
• Participate in three rotational assignments to gain broad engineering exposure

Basic qualifications

Basic requirements for Associate Software Engineer

• Completing or completed a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
• Major in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship required)
• Ability to obtain Special Access Program access within a reasonable timeframe

Basic requirements for Software Engineer

• Completing or completed a Master’s degree from an accredited institution
• Major in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship required)
• Ability to obtain Special Access Program access within a reasonable timeframe

• Overall cumulative GPA of 3.00/4.0 or higher
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Demonstrated interest in systems or space-sector software

Compensation & location

• Employment type: Full time
• Location: Linthicum, MD (onsite / site-specific program)
• Salary ranges:
  • Associate Software Engineer: $76,200 to $114,400 per year
  • Software Engineer: $91,800 to $137,600 per year

U.S. citizenship is required for positions that need a government security clearance.
