The Role
We are recruiting an early-career Associate Software Engineer – Full Stack to join a Confidential Client in Software Development. This role is hands-on: you will build features across frontend and backend, collaborate in cross-functional teams, and grow your engineering skills with mentorship from senior engineers.
What You’ll Do
- Build and ship well-tested features across frontend and backend systems with support from senior engineers
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers in an Agile environment to deliver value iteratively
- Write clean, readable, and tested code; participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback
- Debug, investigate, and resolve issues; escalate when appropriate and pair with senior engineers for complex problems
- Contribute ideas in technical design discussions and own the features you implement
- Ramp up quickly on the team’s tech stack and seek mentorship to accelerate professional growth
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience
- 0–2 years of professional, internship, or project experience in software engineering with exposure to both frontend and backend work
- Familiarity with Java and Spring Boot (coursework, internships, or projects acceptable)
- Working knowledge of JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and React fundamentals
- Basic understanding of RESTful APIs and database technologies such as MongoDB
- Exposure to modern JS tooling (npm/Webpack) and eagerness to grow into TypeScript, state management (Redux/Zustand/React Query), and testing (Jest)
- Understanding of Git and collaborative development workflows
- Interest in CI/CD and cloud environments (AWS/GCP/Azure)
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical fundamentals
Nice-to-Have
- Project or internship experience shipping full‑stack features in Java + React environments
- Familiarity with unit/integration testing and modern frontend state management
- Any cloud or CI/CD hands-on experience

Location & Work Authorization
- This role is based in Austin, TX. The position requires working from the Austin office three days per week.
- This role supports a FedRAMP environment and requires that work be performed within the United States by individuals authorized to work in the U.S. and who are U.S. citizens. This is a lawful job requirement for this position.
