What You’ll Do
As an Associate Software Engineer at Confidential Client you will join an engineering team delivering production-quality software. Typical responsibilities include:
- Write, test, and maintain clean, well-documented code for web and backend services
- Contribute to feature design and technical planning in agile sprints
- Troubleshoot and debug issues across the stack and help improve system reliability
- Participate in code reviews and share constructive feedback with teammates
- Build and run automated unit and integration tests to ensure high quality
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, QA, and design to deliver customer-focused solutions
- Help maintain CI/CD pipelines and support deployments to staging and production
What We’re Looking For
We seek motivated candidates who are early in their software engineering career and eager to grow:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Solid programming fundamentals and familiarity with at least one modern language (for example: JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Java, or C#)
- Experience using version control systems (Git) and working in collaborative codebases
- Basic understanding of web application architecture, RESTful APIs, and unit testing
- Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn new technologies
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively on a team
Preferred (nice-to-have)
- Experience with a web framework (React, Angular, Vue, Django, Spring, etc.)
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) or containerization (Docker)
- Knowledge of relational databases (Postgres, MySQL) and basic SQL
- Internship or project experience building production or production-like applications
