What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Associate Software Engineer to join its software and controls engineering team in Centennial, CO as part of a Pathways rotational program. This role offers structured rotations across engineering teams where you will learn core software development practices and contribute to mission-driven work.

Responsibilities include:

• Assist in developing, testing, and maintaining software programs or applications under engineering guidance
• Troubleshoot and resolve software defects to improve performance and reliability
• Translate project requirements into basic software solutions in collaboration with teammates
• Execute software tests, document results, and provide clear feedback to engineers
• Implement minor updates and adjustments to software based on peer and supervisor review
• Learn and apply industry-standard practices for writing, testing, and maintaining code
• Focus on software-related tasks; hardware production and QA are outside this role

Basic Qualifications

To be considered, candidates must:

• Be completing or have completed a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
• Have majored in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related STEM field
• Be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship required)
• Be able to obtain Special Access Program eligibility within a reasonable period as required by the client

• Overall cumulative GPA of 3.00/4.0 or higher
• Demonstrated interest in software development, testing, or controls engineering through coursework, internships, or projects
• Strong communication and collaboration skills; eagerness to learn in a rotational, team-based environment

Compensation & Additional Details

• Salary range (posted): $76,200 to $114,400 per year
• Travel: approximately 10% (per source)
• Relocation assistance: may be available
• Employment type: Full-time
• This position is part of a formal Pathways rotational program with three engineering rotations
• U.S. citizenship is required due to security clearance eligibility
