What You’ll Do

• Purify antibodies and other protein reagents using chromatography platforms and automated laboratory equipment.
• Execute and optimize purification workflows using affinity, ion-exchange (IEX), hydrophobic interaction (HIC), and size-exclusion chromatography (SEC).
• Characterize purified proteins using SDS-PAGE, Western blotting, CE-SDS, analytical SEC, spectrophotometry, and related techniques.
• Evaluate protein purity, concentration, recovery, aggregation, and overall sample quality.
• Record, analyze, and maintain accurate experimental data and electronic laboratory records (ELN).
• Summarize and present purification and characterization results to managers, project teams, and scientific collaborators.
• Troubleshoot technical challenges and coordinate with colleagues to resolve issues.
• Manage multiple assignments and priorities while ensuring sample integrity and data quality.

What We’re Looking For (Minimum Qualifications)

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, or a related discipline.
• 0–2 years of relevant academic, internship, or industry laboratory experience in protein purification or characterization.
• Hands-on experience with one or more purification techniques (affinity, IEX, HIC, SEC).
• Experience with one or more protein characterization methods (HPLC, SDS-PAGE, Western blotting, CE-SDS, SEC, spectrophotometry).
• Ability to analyze experimental data and maintain accurate electronic laboratory records.
• Strong organizational skills and clear written and verbal communication.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience purifying monoclonal antibodies, bispecific antibodies, or other complex protein formats.
• Experience with ÄKTA chromatography systems.
• Familiarity with automated purification or sample-processing equipment and working in a high-throughput or project-driven laboratory.
• Basic programming or scripting knowledge (e.g., Python or R) and interest in applying computational tools to data analysis and workflow improvement.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative scientific team.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range (annually): $70,300 - $110,100 (USD)
