What You’ll Do

As an Associate Scientist, Flow Cytometry you will support regulated laboratory testing and data generation in a life‑sciences environment in Newhall, CA. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include:

• Perform flow cytometry testing and analytical procedures aligned with SOPs and regulatory requirements.
• Analyze and verify data quality; escalate atypical or out‑of‑tolerance results to senior staff.
• Prepare and upload analytical data into LIMS under senior guidance.
• Support quality investigations, deviations, and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
• Prepare buffers, reagents, and solutions used across laboratory workflows.
• Perform and document calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment.
• Train and guide entry‑level staff on routine lab procedures and onboarding tasks.
• Communicate clearly with cross‑functional teams and participate in assigned project work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a biological, chemical, or related scientific field required; master’s degree preferred.
• Hands‑on flow cytometry experience and prior work in a regulated laboratory environment preferred.
• Proficiency with core bench techniques (pipetting, reagent preparation) and basic analytical calculations.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel; experience with LIMS is a plus.
• Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience may be accepted.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Knowledge of GLP, laboratory safety, infection control, hazardous chemical handling, and standard lab best practices.
• Ability to operate specialized lab equipment, perform routine and non‑routine calculations, and follow detailed SOPs.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to multitask while collaborating with cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; frequent standing and walking; occasional close‑vision work (computer, typing, reading small print). Physical demands vary by work assignment; occasional exposure to cold temperatures may occur.

Hours, Location & Compensation

• Location: Newhall, CA (on‑site).
• Employment type: Part‑time (as listed).
• Potential base pay range (annualized): $41,400 – $86,100. Actual pay will depend on experience, qualifications, and schedule. Additional incentive plans, bonuses, and benefits may apply.
