Overview

Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Associate Scientist — Biochemistry to join their analytical laboratory near Lancaster / Bausman, PA. This hands-on role focuses on physical, chemical and instrumental analysis of active pharmaceutical ingredients and finished pharmaceutical products. The position is a great fit for recent graduates or candidates with relevant laboratory experience who want to develop chromatography and GMP testing skills.

What You’ll Do

• Perform physical, chemical, and instrumental analyses of active pharmaceutical ingredients and finished pharmaceutical products (tablets, capsules, parenterals, devices, aerosols, liquids, creams, gels).
• Independently operate chromatographic and other analytical instrumentation.
• Prepare standards and samples for analysis and execute method transfer protocols.
• Set up and validate new analytical processes used by the department.
• Document results and procedures in compliance with GMP requirements.
• Perform routine and monthly maintenance on laboratory equipment.
• Collaborate with laboratory teammates and follow established SOPs for quality and safety.

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biochemistry, or a related scientific discipline — or equivalent directly related experience.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.

Schedule & Location

• Full-time, Monday–Friday, typical hours 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.; additional hours as needed.
• On-site role based in or near Bausman / Lancaster, PA (commutable candidates preferred).

• Estimated compensation (per year): $48,705 (estimated)
