Overview

Confidential Client is seeking an Associate Sales Representative to begin a career in medical device and healthcare technology sales in San Diego, CA. This is an early-career, field-facing role with structured training, one-on-one mentorship, and a clear path to a Territory Manager position. The role requires 25–50% travel (including occasional overnight stays) and a valid driver’s license.


What You’ll Do

  • Partner with experienced Territory Managers to grow business across an assigned territory
  • Build and maintain relationships with physicians, cardiologists, primary care providers, nurses, office managers, and health system staff
  • Target and support healthcare accounts while identifying expansion opportunities
  • Educate clinicians on diagnostic technologies and clinical solutions
  • Increase product awareness, utilization, and customer engagement
  • Execute territory business plans and identify new growth opportunities
  • Learn healthcare economics, reimbursement, and clinical workflows
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and act as a trusted resource for customers
  • Maintain accurate territory activity and sales reports
  • Consistently work toward achieving and exceeding sales goals

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 1–2 years of experience in one or more of: pharmaceutical sales, medical device sales, B2B outside sales, healthcare sales, business development, account executive, account management, clinical sales, or inside sales with outside customer interaction
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong relationship-building abilities
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel 25–50% of the time (including 1–2 overnights per week)
