What You’ll Do
As an Associate Sales Representative (entry-level) you will support territory growth and clinical adoption for a Confidential Client’s medical devices. You will gain hands-on operating-room (OR) experience while working with surgeons, OR staff, hospital teams, and senior sales representatives.
- Support senior sales representatives in growing hospital, surgery center, and physician accounts across the assigned Richmond, VA territory
- Attend surgical procedures to provide clinical and product support to surgeons, nurses, and OR personnel
- Prepare and maintain instruments, trays, and product inventory for scheduled procedures
- Assist with product demonstrations, evaluations, trials, in‑services, and clinical education
- Learn device indications, relevant anatomy, surgical workflows, and competitive product positioning
- Help identify prospective customers and assist with prospecting, account development, and follow-up
- Maintain accurate records of account activity, inventory, and customer interactions
- Respond quickly and professionally to customer and procedural needs
- Work collaboratively with sales leadership to help meet territory objectives and sales goals
- Adhere to hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices while in clinical settings
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 0–2 years in sales, healthcare, medical device, pharmaceutical, or related roles preferred
- Strong interest in building a long-term career in medical device / surgical sales
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to learn technical product information, medical terminology, and surgical procedures
- Comfortable working in operating room and clinical environments; professional under pressure
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated with strong follow-through
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; ability to travel within the assigned territory
- Flexibility to support early-morning cases and occasional schedule changes

Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive base salary with performance-based incentive compensation (structure varies by territory and experience)
