What You’ll Do
This entry-level Associate Sales Manager role is a structured 6–12 month sales development program designed to prepare high-potential candidates for a future Sales Manager / territory owner role. You will work with experienced sales professionals, applications and proposal engineers, and cross-functional teams to learn products, processes, and consultative selling for industrial and municipal water/wastewater filtration solutions.
- Support Regional Sales Managers on customer visits, plant tours, and technical presentations
- Participate in customer discovery meetings and site evaluations
- Assist with opportunity development, follow-up, and pipeline tracking
- Support strategic account planning and prospect research
- Help prepare budgetary proposals, quotations, and learn system sizing and solution development
- Support trade show activities and industry events
- Maintain customer and opportunity information in CRM and assist with forecasting
- Other duties as assigned to develop commercial and technical competence
Who You Are (Qualifications)
The ideal candidate will be coachable, curious, and motivated to build a long-term career in industrial capital equipment sales.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Environmental Science, Chemistry, or related field
- Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Mechanical/technical aptitude and comfort learning complex industrial processes
- Interest in consultative selling and building customer relationships
- Initiative and willingness to prospect for new business
- Experience with industrial customers and CRM systems preferred
- Comfortable with domestic travel (approx. 10–40%)
- Desire to progress into a territory sales role after the development program
