Associate Rotational Engineer
The Associate Rotational Engineer participates in a multi-year rotational program across various manufacturing engineering functions at Confidential Client, gaining hands-on experience in process design, quality assurance, and production supervision. What You’ll Do
This entry-level rotational engineering role places you in a multi-year Operations Engineering Rotational Program that exposes you to several core manufacturing engineering functions. Typical rotations (6–12 months each) may include Floor Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Production Supervision, Maintenance Supervision, Factory Controls, Product Engineering and Core Manufacturing Engineering. Responsibilities include:
- Assist in developing and improving manufacturing systems focused on quality and throughput.
- Support design, development, and optimization of manufacturing processes and tooling.
- Research, design, modify, and test manufacturing methods and equipment.
- Apply product-design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials knowledge to production problems.
- Design and validate testing methods; assess finished-product and process capabilities; help establish standards.
- Analyze process elements and equipment deficiencies to identify manufacturing improvements.
- Provide technical support to plant operations and maintenance.
- Occasionally train or assign work to small teams.
- Follow and actively support plant and corporate safety policies.
- Maintain regular physical presence in the workplace as required by the role.
What We’re Looking For
- Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related engineering discipline.
- 0 years of professional experience required; at least one summer or semester internship in engineering preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work cross-functionally.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes, tooling, and equipment.
- Preferred skills (not required): Unigraphics/CAD experience, CNC programming knowledge, experience with grinding/turning/machining centers, understanding of gear geometry or gear manufacturing, and project management exposure related to machine procurement or process validation.
- Ability to work effectively in teams and adapt during multiple rotations.
